TLS Associates bring a wide range of expertise to the firm's projects. Whether the situation calls for knowledge of labour relations, management, human resources, harassment prevention, diversity or human rights, TLS Associates can provide the necessary experience and information to ensure professional results.

Lorna Leader

Lorna Leader is an experienced researcher, consultant and investigator. She has conducted harassment complaint investigations both independently and as an Associate with TLS on a Standing Offer with the federal government. She participated in a number of organizational reviews, including a review of the corporate culture of eleven federal correctional institutions, making recommendations on harassment prevention.

She has also been employed as an investigator with the Canadian Human Rights Commission and was Manager of Employment Equity Programs with the Province of Manitoba.

Throughout over 25 years of employment and consulting, Ms Leader has presented many training sessions, primarily in the areas of human rights, equity issues and harassment prevention.




Nicole Ritchot

Nicole Ritchot was employed with the Canadian Human Rights Commission for 27 years and was the Regional Director, Prairie and Nunavut Region for over 10 years, During her tenure with the Canadian Human Rights Commission, Nicole investigated and mediated human rights complaints, developed and delivered Anti-Harassment, Anti-Racism, Employment Equity and Respectful workplace training, assisted in the development of the Commission’s first Special Programs Policy, and worked in partnership with a wide range of organizations towards the advancement of equality and human rights principles.

In 2008, she became an Associate of TLS Enterprises and is on the Standing Offer with the federal government to investigate harassment complaints.

Ms Ritchot is an active member of her community, having served on the Board of various organizations including the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities, the St. Vital French Immersion Parents Association, and the Social Planning Council of Winnipeg. Ms Ritchot is currently an elected member of the Board of Directors of Assiniboine Credit Union, named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers by Maclean’s magazine for three years.

In 2002, in recognition of her commitment to the advancement of human and equality rights, Ms Ritchot was awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal.



Steve Lennon

Steve Lennon has extensive experience in conflict resolution in the workplace. He has worked with unions on labour relations matters and has specialized knowledge of union/management relationships. He has also been a contract investigator with the Manitoba Human Rights Commission and has training in arbitration, mediation and conflict resolution.

He is presently an Associate with TLS conducting investigations and organizational reviews. He is on the Standing Offer for Investigative Services related to harassment in the workplace, and has met their standards for workplace investigators.

Mr. Lennon has volunteered as a crisis counselor & has been a major fund raiser for his church for 20 years



Peggy Barker

Peggy Barker has many years of experience as a manager in both the federal and provincial governments and in non-profit organizations.

She was previously a manager with Western Agri-Food Institute. She was also a Consultant to Manitoba Agricultural Credit Corporation, developing training and strategic planning processes. As the Regional Manager, Consumer Services with the federal government, she was responsible for managing the work of inspectors in the three Prairie Provinces, which included investigating consumer complaints. She also was responsible for program development and evaluation skills for a variety of organizations.

She is presently an Associate with TLS in investigation and organizational reviews.

Ms Barker also has considerable experience in organizing projects and events as a volunteer with the Provincial Council of Women, the Consumers Association of Canada and the United Church



Gloria Cook

With her experience and training in Public Administration, Gloria Cook understands organizational dynamics and individual conflict. As a manager, Ms Cook also has experience in dealing with harassment in the workplace. She has worked as an investigator on racial and personal harassment. She has also developed and delivered, within her community, training on racism and its effects on organizations. Ms Cook has worked as a manager in the federal government and in First Nations communities. She also has extensive training in human relations and communications.
BR /> Gloria Cook is a Cree woman with leadership skills that support individuals and groups in resolving conflict. Ms Cook’s style of working with people is to respect and honour their differences and to arrive at workable solutions.

Ms Cook has an appreciation of Aboriginal culture and the dynamics of cultural differences on workplace relationships. She is able to facilitate the establishment of management processes that reflect cross-cultural values and ethical principles of practice.



Lynn Prosak

Lynn Prosak has over 23 years experience as a manager within the Federal Government. She has particular expertise in human resources management and organizational development, as well as harassment prevention.

Ms Prosak has designed and developed training in staffing procedures and management skills and was recognized for her contributions in facilitating several workshops geared towards resolving conflicts between Management and Union.

Ms Prosak works with TLS in conducting investigations and in organizational reviews.



Mike Styre

Mike Styre spent 22 years working in progressively responsible management positions with the federal government. He served as the Regional Director General for the Canada Border Services Agency from August 1996 to October 2010. In that role, he was responsible for overseeing operations in the provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and the Northwest Territory, managing a staff of 1200 persons and a budget of 100 million dollars.

Mr Styre has extensive knowledge of labour relations and, in 2010 received an award from the Customs and Immigration Union in recognition of the excellent working relationship with the union.

He is able to provide organizations with objective and independent advice and recommendations to improve work environments and create respectful workplaces. He has participated in investigations with his previous work and with TLS Enterprises.
